Fukushima nuclear plant has likely released more radioactivity than Three Mile Island and the crisis could last for several more weeks. The meltdown at Three Mile Island in 1979, which released about one million times less radiation, did not appear to impact cancer rates even decades later. Fukushima disaster is "worse than Three Mile Island but not as great as Chernobyl.
